Senior Network Engineer - Telecoms

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join their dynamic, fully remote team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage robust and scalable telecom networks , including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
• Develop and implement network security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and execute network upgrades and new implementations.
• Mentor junior network engineers and contribute to the knowledge sharing within the team.
• Stay abreast of emerging network technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in network engineering within the telecoms sector.
• Proven expertise in routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF) and switching technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security principles , VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong ability to work independently.
