Senior Network Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to manage and optimize their network infrastructure in Nottingham . This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure network solutions that support the company's operations. You will troubleshoot complex network issues, ensure high availability, and implement network upgrades and expansions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and deploy enterprise-level network solutions, including LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.
• Develop and document network diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with IT teams to plan and execute network upgrades and enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in network engineering and administration.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF) and hardware (Cisco, Juniper).
• Experience with network security best practices and tools.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent experience are highly valued.
