Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement robust network security strategies and policies for telecom environments.
• Monitor network traffic for security breaches and anomalous activity, responding to incidents rapidly.
• Configure, manage, and maintain security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and SIEM systems.
• Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security measures into new network designs and deployments.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies relevant to the telecom sector.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in network security engineering , with a focus on telecommunications networks.
• In-depth knowledge of security protocols, encryption, authentication, and access control mechanisms.
• Hands-on experience with security hardware and software from leading vendors.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and architectures (TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, etc.).
• Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CCSE, or equivalent are essential.
