Senior Nursery Nurse

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Nursery Nurse to join their reputable childcare facility in Manchester . In this key role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and education to children within a designated age group, while also providing support and guidance to junior staff members. You will contribute to the planning and implementation of stimulating learning experiences that foster children's development and well-being, working collaboratively with colleagues and parents to create a positive and nurturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality early years education and care, ensuring the developmental needs of children are met.
• Supervise and mentor junior nursery nurses and assistants, offering guidance and support in their professional growth.
• Plan and execute engaging, age-appropriate activities and learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework .
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of children's progress and development, including observations and assessments.
• Ensure adherence to all nursery policies and procedures, including safeguarding, health, and safety regulations.
• Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with parents and carers, fostering a partnership approach to childcare.

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 or above qualification in Childcare and Education (or equivalent).
• A minimum of 2 years' experience working as a Nursery Nurse or in a similar early years role.
• In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and assessment methods.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and support a team effectively.
• Excellent communication, observation, and record-keeping skills.
• A genuine passion for childcare and a commitment to promoting children's learning and development.
