Senior Offshore Wind Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Offshore Wind Engineer to join their fully remote team, driving forward the design and development of cutting-edge offshore wind projects. You will play a key part in the entire project lifecycle, from conceptual design and feasibility studies to detailed engineering and project execution. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptual and detailed design of offshore wind farm components, including turbines, foundations, and inter-array/export cables.
• Perform structural analysis, hydrodynamic modeling, and site assessment for offshore wind developments.
• Ensure designs comply with all relevant industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements for offshore energy projects.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, vessel operators, and manufacturing partners.
• Develop and review technical specifications, drawings, and project documentation.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and support project management functions.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or Ocean Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in the offshore wind industry , with a strong focus on engineering design and project delivery.
• Demonstrated expertise in structural analysis, foundation design, or electrical systems for offshore wind turbines.
• Proficiency with relevant engineering software and simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, FAST, AutoCAD).
• Strong understanding of offshore environments, marine operations, and health and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
