Senior Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Senior Operations Engineer to join their operational support team based in Bradford, West Yorkshire . This role is crucial for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day operation of their energy facilities. You will be involved in troubleshooting operational issues, optimizing production processes, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will work closely with site teams, maintenance personnel, and management to maintain high standards of operational performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor plant performance and key operational parameters, identifying and resolving deviations promptly.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production efficiency, reduce waste, and improve energy utilization.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for operational upsets and equipment failures, implementing effective solutions.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
• Contribute to the development of operational procedures and best practices for site operations in Bradford .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in operations engineering within the energy sector.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex operational problems and implement effective solutions.
• Strong understanding of process control systems and instrumentation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
