Senior Operations Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Operations Engineer to join their key operational team in Portsmouth . This role is integral to optimizing production processes, enhancing system reliability, and driving efficiency improvements within their manufacturing facilities. You will collaborate closely with production staff, quality assurance, and other engineering disciplines to identify and implement best practices. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production operations to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Design, test, and implement new or modified manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex operational issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production flow.
• Lead projects focused on implementing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful integration of new technologies and processes in Portsmouth .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an operations engineering or industrial engineering role within manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma, and process optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
• Experience with CAD software and manufacturing execution systems (MES) is advantageous.
