Senior Operations Manager - Offshore

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Operations Manager to oversee their offshore operations, based out of their Portsmouth hub. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable execution of offshore activities, including platform operations, maintenance, and logistical support. You will manage a diverse team of offshore personnel, optimize operational performance, and ensure strict adherence to safety and environmental regulations. This is a crucial position for driving operational excellence within the demanding UK offshore oil and gas sector .

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all day-to-day offshore operations , ensuring alignment with company objectives and industry best practices.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize asset uptime.
• Ensure strict compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations and company policies.
• Manage operational budgets, resource allocation, and performance metrics for offshore assets.
• Oversee the performance of offshore teams, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance management.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including regulators, clients, and contractors.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational processes and safety performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in operations management within the offshore oil and gas industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex offshore operations and large teams.
• In-depth knowledge of offshore safety regulations, operational procedures, and risk management.
• Strong leadership, decision-making, and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
