Senior Penetration Tester

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and meticulous Senior Penetration Tester to join their dynamic security team in Stoke-on-Trent . In this role, you will be responsible for simulating real-world cyber-attacks to identify vulnerabilities in the organisation's systems, networks, and applications. Your expertise will be crucial in uncovering weaknesses before malicious actors can exploit them, thereby enhancing the overall security posture. Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and report on penetration tests for web applications, networks, and infrastructure.
• Identify, exploit, and document vulnerabilities, providing detailed remediation recommendations.
• Develop and maintain custom scripts and tools to automate testing procedures.
• Conduct social engineering assessments and physical security tests as required.
• Stay current with the latest penetration testing techniques, tools, and methodologies.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure timely remediation of identified vulnerabilities.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in professional penetration testing.
• Demonstrated expertise in exploiting vulnerabilities in various environments, including web, mobile, and network.
• Proficiency with a wide range of penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
• Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities such as OWASP Top 10 and SANS Top 25.
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and actionable penetration test reports.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CREST, GPEN, or CEH are highly advantageous.
