About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and ethical Senior Penetration Tester to join their proactive security team in Bradford . This role is dedicated to identifying vulnerabilities within the organization's systems, applications, and networks through rigorous testing methodologies. You will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on penetration tests, providing actionable insights to improve the overall security posture. The ideal candidate is a motivated security professional with a deep understanding of offensive security techniques and a passion for finding weaknesses before malicious actors do, contributing to the robust defense strategies of our client.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and manage comprehensive penetration tests against web applications, networks, and systems.
• Identify, exploit, and document security vulnerabilities, providing clear and concise technical details.
• Develop detailed reports outlining findings, risks, and actionable remediation recommendations.
• Collaborate with development and IT teams to ensure vulnerabilities are addressed effectively.
• Stay current with the latest penetration testing techniques, tools, and threat landscapes.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of testing methodologies and tools.

Requirements

• Proven experience (4+ years) as a penetration tester or in a similar offensive security role.
• Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and exploitation techniques.
• Proficiency with penetration testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for automation is advantageous.
• Excellent report writing skills and the ability to communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GPEN are highly desirable.
