About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Petroleum Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed reservoir engineering studies, including simulation and performance analysis, to optimize production strategies.
- Develop and manage field development plans and production forecasts, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Design and implement artificial lift systems and well intervention strategies to enhance recovery rates.
- Monitor well performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with geologists, drilling engineers, and production staff to ensure integrated field management.
- Prepare technical reports, economic evaluations, and present findings to management and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in petroleum engineering , with a focus on reservoir management and production optimization.
- Proficiency in reservoir simulation software (e.g., Petrel, ECLIPSE) and production data analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of oil and gas field operations, including drilling, completion, and production techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline; a Master's degree is advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
