Senior Petroleum Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Petroleum Engineer to join their team in Bradford . This is an on-site role where you will focus on optimizing the recovery of oil and gas resources. You will be involved in all aspects of reservoir management, production optimization, and well engineering, working closely with multidisciplinary teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical acumen, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of reservoir mechanics and fluid flow. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring efficient and sustainable extraction of resources for our client's operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze reservoir performance data to develop and implement production optimization strategies.
• Design and manage well interventions, workovers, and artificial lift systems.
• Perform reservoir simulations and material balance calculations to forecast production and reserves.
• Evaluate and recommend enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques.
• Collaborate with geologists and drilling engineers to support field development planning.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in petroleum engineering , with a focus on reservoir and production.
• Proficiency in reservoir simulation software and production analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of reservoir characterization, fluid properties, and wellbore flow .
• Experience with EOR methods and their application.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a closely related field. Master's degree is preferred.
