Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their dynamic team in Leicester . This role is pivotal in ensuring the consistent quality and safety of pharmaceutical products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will be responsible for overseeing critical laboratory processes, adhering to strict regulatory guidelines, and contributing to the continuous improvement of quality systems. Key Responsibilities

• Perform complex analytical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy).
• Develop, validate, and implement new analytical methods according to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Review and approve analytical data, batch records, and quality control reports.
• Mentor and train junior analysts, providing guidance on laboratory procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, and regulatory affairs teams to address quality-related issues and support product lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical quality control or a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency in relevant analytical instrumentation and techniques (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR).
• Thorough understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).
• Experience with method validation, OOS investigations, and CAPA systems.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities.
