Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst to join their quality assurance team based in Sheffield . This hybrid role offers the opportunity to contribute to maintaining the highest standards of product quality and compliance, with flexibility between office and remote work. You will be responsible for performing a wide range of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure they meet all specifications and regulatory requirements. This role is vital for upholding product integrity and patient safety across our client's pharmaceutical portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform analytical testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished pharmaceutical products using various instrumental and wet chemistry techniques.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, dissolution apparatus, and Karl Fischer titrators.
• Document all testing activities, results, and observations accurately and in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Participate in method validation and transfer activities as required.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory procedures and quality systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a pharmaceutical Quality Control laboratory setting.
• Proficiency with common analytical techniques, including HPLC and GC.
• Solid understanding of GMP principles and regulatory requirements related to pharmaceutical testing.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent record-keeping skills, and the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
• Ability to troubleshoot analytical methods and laboratory equipment.
