Senior Pharmaceutical Scientist - Formulation Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Pharmaceutical Scientist to join their Formulation Development team in the historic city of Oxford . Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop innovative pharmaceutical formulations for various therapeutic areas.
• Conduct pre-formulation studies to understand drug substance properties and develop suitable excipient strategies.
• Perform formulation characterization and stability testing according to regulatory guidelines.
• Optimize formulations to achieve desired release profiles, stability, and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with analytical chemists to develop and validate relevant analytical methods.
• Contribute to the preparation of regulatory submission documents (e.g., IND, NDA).

Requirements

• Ph.D. or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical formulation development.
• Strong understanding of drug delivery systems, excipient functionality, and dosage form design.
• Experience with various pharmaceutical dosage forms (e.g., oral solids, injectables, topical).
• Knowledge of GMP principles and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical development.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
