About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Pharmaceutical Scientist to join their dynamic research and development team in Leicester . Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct complex laboratory experiments for drug discovery and development projects.
• Design and optimize pharmaceutical formulations and delivery systems.
• Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and prepare comprehensive scientific reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including medicinal chemists, biologists, and regulatory affairs specialists.
• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the technical training and development of the team.
• Ensure all research activities comply with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and relevant regulatory guidelines.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical research and development, with a strong track record in formulation science.
• Proven expertise in drug delivery systems, analytical techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC-MS), and in-vitro /in-vivo testing.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and drug development processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in scientific literature review and data interpretation.
