Senior Podiatrist & Biomechanics Specialist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Podiatrist & Biomechanics Specialist to join their leading foot health clinic in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK . This role is crucial in providing comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services for a wide range of foot and lower limb conditions, with a special focus on biomechanical assessments. You will be instrumental in developing bespoke treatment plans, including the prescription and fitting of orthotics, and guiding patients towards improved mobility and reduced pain. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough podiatric assessments , including gait analysis and biomechanical evaluations of the lower limbs.
• Diagnose and manage a variety of conditions such as bunions, verrucas, fungal infections, ingrown toenails, and diabetic foot complications.
• Prescribe, design, and fit custom and off-the-shelf orthotics to correct biomechanical imbalances and alleviate pain.
• Provide specialist advice on footwear, exercise, and lifestyle modifications to promote foot and lower limb health.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, such as nail avulsions and verruca treatments, under local anaesthesia.
• Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and adhere to professional standards and clinical guidelines.

Requirements

• A recognized degree or diploma in Podiatry .
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) or equivalent professional body.
• A minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience as a practicing Podiatrist .
• Specialized training and proven experience in Biomechanics and the prescription of orthotic devices.
• Excellent clinical reasoning, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathize and build rapport with patients.
