Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-voltage and low-voltage power systems.
• Perform detailed power flow, short circuit, and stability analyses using industry-standard software.
• Develop protection schemes and coordinate protective relays to ensure system security and fault resilience.
• Oversee the specification and selection of power system components, including transformers, switchgear, and generators.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to junior power engineers.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure power system designs meet all technical and regulatory requirements in Southampton .

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a specialisation in Power Systems.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in power system design, analysis, and protection.
• Proficiency with power system analysis software such as ETAP, PSS/E, or similar.
• Strong understanding of grid codes, power quality issues, and renewable energy integration.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing office and remote tasks.
