About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior PR Executive to spearhead their public relations efforts in Newcastle upon Tyne . This is a hands-on role where you will be instrumental in developing and executing impactful PR strategies that enhance our client's brand visibility and reputation across the UK. You will manage media outreach, cultivate relationships with key journalists and influencers, and oversee the creation of engaging content. This position requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of media dynamics and a passion for storytelling, who can operate effectively within a collaborative team environment in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of integrated PR campaigns across various media channels.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with national, regional, and trade media contacts.
- Write and edit high-quality press releases, speeches, articles, and digital content.
- Manage and respond to media inquiries promptly and effectively.
- Plan and execute media events, product launches, and press briefings.
- Monitor and analyse media coverage, reporting on campaign effectiveness and ROI.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a dedicated PR role , with at least 2 years at a senior level.
- Demonstrated ability to secure positive media coverage in national and regional publications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a talent for persuasive writing.
- Strong understanding of PR principles, media relations, and digital communications.
- Experience with media monitoring and reporting tools is essential.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline.
