Senior Process Chemical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale up chemical processes, ensuring adherence to stringent safety and environmental regulations.
• Conduct feasibility studies and techno-economic assessments for new process implementations and modifications.
• Optimize reaction conditions, separation techniques, and material handling to improve yield, purity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for plant equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with research and development teams to pilot and commercialize new chemical products and technologies.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in process design, optimization, and scale-up within the chemical manufacturing sector.
• Proven ability to apply core chemical engineering principles, including thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and mass transfer.
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, ChemCAD) and CAD tools.
• Strong understanding of process safety management (PSM) and hazard analysis techniques (HAZOP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
