Senior Process Chemical Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Process Chemical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new chemical processes and optimize existing ones for improved efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct feasibility studies, process simulations, and pilot plant trials to validate process designs.
• Ensure all processes comply with stringent safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex process issues, providing technical leadership and support to operations teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, operations, and maintenance, to achieve project objectives.
• Prepare detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, operating manuals, and safety reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in process design, development, and optimization within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
• Proven ability in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Strong understanding of process safety management (PSM) principles and HAZOP studies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Membership in a relevant professional engineering body is advantageous.
