Senior Process Development Engineer - Pharmaceuticals

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Development Engineer to join their innovative manufacturing and technology team in Nottingham . This critical role will focus on developing, scaling up, and optimizing manufacturing processes for novel pharmaceutical products. You will be instrumental in ensuring that processes are robust, efficient, cost-effective, and compliant with all regulatory standards, including GMP. Working within a dynamic and collaborative environment, you will play a key part in bringing life-changing therapies from the laboratory to commercial production, utilizing your engineering expertise to solve complex challenges in the pharmaceutical manufacturing landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical intermediates and finished products, ensuring scalability and robustness.
• Conduct process validation studies and ensure all activities comply with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues encountered during process scale-up and routine manufacturing operations.
• Lead process transfer activities from R&D to manufacturing sites, ensuring smooth implementation and adequate training.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment to enhance manufacturing efficiency, quality, and safety within the Nottingham facility.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process development and scale-up within the pharmaceutical industry .
• Strong understanding of GMP manufacturing principles, process validation, and regulatory compliance.
• Proven experience with process optimization techniques and technology transfer.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, project management capabilities, and strong communication abilities for effective collaboration within our Nottingham team.
