Senior Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Process Development Engineer to join their manufacturing operations team in Nottingham . This role is critical for the development, optimization, and scale-up of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate laboratory-scale processes into robust, commercial-scale manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead process development activities for new and existing pharmaceutical products, focusing on scale-up from R&D to commercial manufacturing.
• Design, execute, and analyze experiments to optimize process parameters, yields, and product quality.
• Develop and implement process validation strategies in compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and operations teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and facility fit.
• Author technical reports, process descriptions, and documentation for regulatory submissions and internal reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in process development or manufacturing engineering within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of GMP , process validation, and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
• Proven experience with process scale-up, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in process modeling and simulation tools is a plus.
• Excellent project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with experience working in Nottingham based facilities.
