About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Development Engineer to enhance their pharmaceutical manufacturing operations. This hybrid role requires a combination of remote work for analysis and reporting, with essential on-site presence in Sheffield for process optimization and troubleshooting. You will be instrumental in developing, scaling up, and validating manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring efficiency, quality, and regulatory compliance. This position is key to maintaining robust production capabilities and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a leading pharmaceutical company. The ideal candidate will bring a strong engineering background and a deep understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and scale-up manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products, ensuring robustness and efficiency.
- Design and execute experiments to investigate process parameters and identify critical process controls.
- Troubleshoot manufacturing issues and implement effective corrective actions.
- Develop process validation strategies and execute validation protocols.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, quality control, and quality assurance teams to ensure successful technology transfer and process implementation.
- Author process development reports and technical documentation for regulatory submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development and optimization within the pharmaceutical industry .
- Strong understanding of cGMP requirements and regulatory guidelines for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Experience with process scale-up, validation, and technology transfer.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, managing both remote tasks and on-site responsibilities.
