About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Senior Process Engineer to join their established team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role involves leading critical projects focused on process optimization, efficiency improvements, and the implementation of new technologies within their manufacturing operations. You will be a key technical authority, providing guidance and expertise to junior engineers and collaborating across departments to achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of chemical processes and equipment.
- Conduct in-depth process analysis, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost reduction.
- Oversee and manage process-related projects from conception through to completion.
- Develop and implement robust standard operating procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Provide technical mentorship and support to a team of process engineers and technicians.
- Troubleshoot complex operational problems and develop innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in process engineering, with a strong track record in project leadership.
- Expertise in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus) and statistical analysis tools.
- Deep understanding of process safety, risk assessment, and environmental compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
