Senior Process Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Process Engineer to join their dynamic team based in Aberdeen, Scotland . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement new chemical processes and optimize existing ones for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Conduct process simulations, feasibility studies, and hazard analyses (HAZOP).
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and project teams to ensure seamless integration and execution of process changes.
• Monitor plant performance, troubleshoot operational issues, and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, operating manuals, and safety procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in process design, optimization, and operations within the chemical or oil and gas industry.
• Proven ability in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS).
• Strong understanding of thermodynamics , fluid mechanics, and reaction kinetics.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and environmental standards in the UK.
