About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to lead key projects and initiatives within their facility in Wolverhampton . This role involves taking ownership of process design, development, and optimization, ensuring that operations meet stringent safety, quality, and efficiency standards. You will mentor junior engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to strategic decision-making regarding process improvements and capital investments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex chemical process projects from concept to completion.
- Conduct thorough process hazard analyses and develop safety protocols to mitigate risks.
- Optimize existing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance energy efficiency.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of process engineers.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and maintenance departments to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and mass/energy balances.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in process engineering roles.
- Demonstrated expertise in process design, scale-up, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of process simulation software and statistical analysis techniques.
- Excellent project management and leadership skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a demanding industrial setting in Wolverhampton .
