About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly competent Senior Process Engineer to contribute to their engineering and project teams in Bristol . This role is central to the design, development, and optimization of process systems for oil and gas facilities. You will be responsible for developing process designs, conducting feasibility studies, and ensuring that all processes meet stringent safety, environmental, and efficiency standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
- Conduct process simulations and calculations to optimize plant performance and design parameters.
- Perform process design for new facilities and modifications to existing plants.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements.
- Prepare technical specifications for process equipment and control systems.
- Provide technical support during the construction, commissioning, and start-up phases of projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
- Experience with HAZOP studies and other process safety analyses.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
