About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Process Engineer to join their leading manufacturing facility in Glasgow . This role demands a deep understanding of chemical processes and a proven ability to drive significant improvements in efficiency, yield, and safety. You will lead complex engineering projects, provide expert technical guidance, and contribute to strategic operational planning. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
- Manage and execute process improvement projects, from conception through to implementation and validation.
- Conduct detailed process analysis, including mass and energy balances, P&IDs, and equipment specification.
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for production issues, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior process engineers, fostering their technical development and project management capabilities.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in process engineering to drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering within the chemical or manufacturing industry.
- Extensive experience with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen HYSYS, PRO/II) and statistical analysis tools.
- Demonstrated success in managing and delivering complex process improvement projects on time and within budget.
- Strong knowledge of safety engineering principles and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
