About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Process Engineer to join their team in Edinburgh . This role will focus on optimizing complex industrial processes, ensuring maximum efficiency, safety, and product quality. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of engineering principles and problem-solving skills to drive significant improvements across various operational functions. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement robust process improvements across manufacturing and operational systems.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of existing processes, identifying bottlenecks and areas for enhancement using data analytics and statistical tools.
- Lead cross-functional teams in implementing Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma projects to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, P&IDs, and flowcharts.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operational staff.
- Ensure all processes comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental requirements in Edinburgh .
Requirements
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering, with a strong emphasis on optimization and project leadership.
- Demonstrated expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies (Black Belt certification highly desirable).
- Proficiency in process simulation software and advanced data analysis techniques.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex, multi-faceted projects.
