About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Senior Process Optimization Engineer to join their fully remote team. This critical role focuses on enhancing the efficiency, yield, and sustainability of our client's chemical manufacturing processes through data-driven insights and innovative strategies. You will work independently, collaborating virtually with operations and engineering teams across various sites to identify and implement improvements. This position is ideal for a proactive engineer who thrives in a remote setting and possesses a deep understanding of process dynamics and optimization techniques, contributing significantly without being tied to a physical office in Bradford .
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze complex process data to identify key performance indicators and areas for improvement in yield, energy consumption, and waste reduction.
- Develop and implement advanced process control (APC) strategies and optimisation techniques.
- Utilize statistical software and modeling tools to simulate process changes and predict outcomes.
- Collaborate virtually with plant engineers and operators to troubleshoot process deviations and implement solutions.
- Lead projects focused on improving process efficiency, throughput, and product quality.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on optimisation findings and implemented solutions for stakeholders.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related quantitative field.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in process engineering with a strong emphasis on process optimization and data analysis.
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, R).
- Experience with Advanced Process Control (APC) systems and methodologies.
- Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work autonomously.
- Demonstrated success in driving significant improvements in chemical processes.
