About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Production Chemist to join their fully remote technical support team. This role is crucial for optimizing chemical processes, troubleshooting production issues, and ensuring the quality and consistency of manufactured chemical products. You will work closely with plant operations, R&D, and quality assurance teams, providing expert chemical and process engineering advice remotely. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production chemical data to identify trends and areas for process optimization.
- Troubleshoot chemical process deviations, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and implement improvements to existing chemical manufacturing processes to enhance yield, reduce waste, and improve safety.
- Support new product introductions by providing chemical process expertise and scale-up guidance.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, environmental, and quality standards in chemical production.
- Collaborate with R&D chemists and engineers on process development and validation studies.
- Prepare technical reports, process documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in chemical production, process development, or quality control within the chemical industry.
- Strong understanding of chemical reaction engineering, process control, and analytical chemistry techniques.
- Experience with process safety principles and hazard analysis is essential.
- Proven ability to work independently and effectively in a remote setting, with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
