About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly qualified and motivated Senior Production Chemist to join their operations team on a fully remote basis, supporting their UK-wide initiatives, with potential links to Belfast . This role is crucial for optimizing production processes, troubleshooting chemical challenges, and ensuring the efficient and safe operation of facilities within the Oil & Gas industry . You will leverage your expertise in chemical engineering and process chemistry to enhance performance and address complex operational issues remotely. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chemist to contribute significantly without geographical constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze production data to identify opportunities for chemical process optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex chemical issues affecting production, flow assurance, and asset integrity.
- Develop and implement chemical treatment programs for production facilities, ensuring optimal performance and compliance.
- Conduct research and evaluate new chemical technologies for potential application in upstream operations.
- Prepare technical reports, recommendations, and presentations based on chemical analyses and process evaluations.
- Collaborate effectively with remote engineering and operations teams to provide expert chemical support.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in production chemistry, process engineering, or a similar role within the Oil & Gas sector .
- Strong knowledge of production chemistry, including scale inhibition, corrosion control, and fluid characterization.
- Experience with laboratory analysis, data interpretation, and chemical process modeling.
- Proven ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively in a remote team environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.
