About the Role
Our client is looking for a dedicated Senior Production Engineer to join their globally distributed team, supporting operations that can be managed effectively from anywhere, with primary operational oversight from the Milton Keynes region. This role focuses on optimizing the performance of oil and gas production facilities, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant operations. You will be instrumental in maximizing hydrocarbon output, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing strategies for continuous improvement across various production assets. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production performance data to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements.
- Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift systems, separation processes, and wellhead pressure management.
- Troubleshoot operational problems, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with reservoir and drilling engineers to ensure production plans are aligned with field development strategies.
- Oversee the maintenance and integrity of production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and longevity.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in production engineering within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Strong understanding of production facility operations, including separation, dehydration, and gas processing.
- Proficiency in production optimization software and data analysis techniques.
- Experience with artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, gas lift) and well testing procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team environment.
