Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Production Engineer to bolster their asset integrity and production optimization efforts in Milton Keynes . This role is integral to maximizing the output and efficiency of oil and gas production facilities. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of production systems, troubleshooting operational issues, and implementing strategies to enhance production rates while ensuring the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze production data from wells and facilities to identify performance trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and execute production optimization plans, including artificial lift system management and well intervention strategies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues related to production equipment and processes, minimizing downtime.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations pertaining to production operations.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers and facility engineers to ensure integrated asset management.
• Oversee the maintenance and integrity of production facilities and equipment, planning and executing shutdowns.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in production engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Solid understanding of production operations, artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, gas lift), and surface facilities.
• Experience with process simulation and production forecasting software.
• Proven ability to manage budgets and drive cost-effective production solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges.
