Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dedicated Senior Production Engineer to enhance their operational capabilities in Sunderland . This role is central to maximizing hydrocarbon production from existing fields while ensuring operational integrity and efficiency. You will focus on optimizing well performance, managing artificial lift systems, and troubleshooting production challenges. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in production optimization techniques, flow assurance, and facility operations, working closely with reservoir engineers and field operations to drive asset performance. Key Responsibilities

• Optimize production from wells and facilities through performance monitoring and analysis.
• Manage and troubleshoot artificial lift systems , including ESPs, gas lift, and rod pumps.
• Conduct production system analysis, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to improve flow rates.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations for all production operations.
• Develop and implement strategies for flow assurance , addressing issues like hydrate formation and wax deposition.
• Collaborate with reservoir engineers to align production plans with reservoir management objectives.
• Provide technical support to field operations teams and contribute to production forecasting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in production engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in production system analysis software and well performance modeling.
• Strong understanding of surface facilities, separation processes, and pipeline operations.
• Experience with artificial lift technologies and production optimization techniques.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
