Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Senior Production Engineer to contribute to their upstream operations in Manchester, Greater Manchester, UK . This role focuses on optimizing the performance of oil and gas production facilities, ensuring efficient and safe operations. You will work within a hybrid model, balancing essential on-site presence with the flexibility of remote work, collaborating with field teams and engineering departments. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maximizing production output, managing operational challenges, and implementing innovative solutions within the challenging landscape of the Oil & Gas industry .

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze production data to identify and troubleshoot operational issues and optimize well performance.
• Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift systems, gas lift, and injection processes.
• Monitor equipment performance, including pumps, compressors, and separation units, and recommend maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for production operations.
• Prepare production forecasts and evaluate the economic impact of production enhancement projects.
• Collaborate with reservoir and facilities engineers to align production strategies with overall field development plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in production engineering within the Oil & Gas sector .
• Strong understanding of production systems, surface facilities, and flow assurance.
• Proficiency with production analysis software and data management tools.
• Experience with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork.
