Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client seeks a highly motivated Senior Production Engineer to join their expanding operations in Sunderland, Tyne and Wear . In this critical role, you will focus on maximizing oil and gas production from existing fields while ensuring operational efficiency and safety. You will be involved in optimizing artificial lift systems, managing well performance, and implementing enhanced oil recovery techniques. This is an excellent chance to work within a well-established team in the North East, contributing to the optimisation of significant energy assets.

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize the performance of production facilities and artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, rod pumps).
• Monitor well and field production, analyze performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and field development planning.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with subsurface and facilities engineers to ensure integrated field development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in production engineering within the oil and gas industry.
• Proficiency in production analysis software and techniques.
• Solid understanding of reservoir management, flow assurance, and surface facility operations.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
