About the Role
Our client is seeking a motivated Senior Production Engineer to join their operations support team in Wolverhampton . This role is instrumental in maximizing oil and gas production from existing fields through the optimization of well performance and artificial lift systems. You will work closely with reservoir engineers, geologists, and field operations personnel to identify production issues, implement solutions, and ensure efficient and safe production operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in production operations, well testing, and artificial lift technologies, contributing to enhanced recovery and operational excellence in a dynamic sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze well and field production data to identify opportunities for production optimization .
- Design, implement, and manage artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, gas lift, rod pumps).
- Troubleshoot production problems, including wellbore plugging, equipment failures, and flow assurance issues.
- Conduct well tests and performance analyses to evaluate reservoir and well performance.
- Collaborate with reservoir engineering to develop field development and redevelopment plans.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to production operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in production engineering within the oil and gas industry.
- Proficiency with production data analysis software and well performance modeling tools.
- Strong knowledge of various artificial lift systems and production optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
