Senior Production Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Production Engineer to join their established manufacturing facility in Coventry . In this role, you will be pivotal in optimizing production processes, driving innovation, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, quality, and operations, to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues and implement sustainable solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements for efficiency and cost reduction.
• Design, develop, and test new manufacturing methods and equipment to enhance product quality and output.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts for production issues, implementing effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and engineering documentation for all manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with the design team to ensure manufacturability of new products and components.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and production staff within the Coventry plant.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production engineering role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing principles, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
• Proficiency with CAD software and experience in process simulation and analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
• Experience with automation and robotics in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable.
