Senior Project Engineer - Mechanical & Electrical

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer with expertise in Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems to join their team in Bristol . This role is critical for ensuring the successful delivery of complex M&E aspects of construction projects, from design review through to installation and commissioning. You will provide technical leadership, manage project schedules, and ensure compliance with all relevant standards and regulations. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work on diverse projects and contribute significantly to the company's reputation for excellence in M&E services.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical delivery of M&E packages on construction projects.
• Review and approve M&E design drawings, specifications, and calculations.
• Develop and manage M&E project schedules, ensuring timely procurement and installation.
• Oversee site installation activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.
• Coordinate with M&E subcontractors, suppliers, and design consultants to resolve technical queries.
• Manage the testing and commissioning process, ensuring systems function as designed.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in M&E project engineering within the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of building services systems, HVAC , electrical distribution, and controls.
• Experience with project management software and BIM technologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
