Senior Project Manager - Capital Projects

About the Role

Our client is seeking a results-oriented Senior Project Manager to lead significant Capital Projects in the Norwich area. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and budgeting to final commissioning and handover, working with a team of specialists and external contractors. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end management of capital projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule constraints.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed cost estimations, resource allocation, and risk assessment matrices.
• Lead and coordinate project teams, including consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders, to ensure efficient execution.
• Manage procurement processes, contract negotiations, and supplier relationships for project-related services and materials.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement proactive solutions to mitigate risks and ensure project success.
• Ensure strict adherence to all safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management, with a strong focus on capital projects, construction, or infrastructure development.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Expertise in project planning, financial management, contract administration, and risk management.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Relevant professional qualification such as PMP or PRINCE2 is highly desirable.
