Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking an accomplished and highly organised Senior Project Manager to oversee a portfolio of exciting construction projects in the Leicester area. You will be instrumental in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from inception and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure.
• Develop detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules, ensuring adherence and proactively managing deviations.
• Coordinate and liaise with all stakeholders, including clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
• Conduct regular site visits and progress meetings to ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
• Mentor and guide junior project managers and site teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and best practice.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry , with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, building codes, and health and safety legislation in the UK.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills, with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera P6).
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS, APM) is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid or on-site capacity in Leicester and surrounding areas.
