Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a background in construction to lead significant development projects in the Manchester area. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on experience in managing all phases of construction projects, from conception through to completion. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, design, procurement, and construction phases of multiple projects.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and financial accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, identifying critical path activities and potential delays.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with contractors, suppliers, and consultants.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry .
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and contract management.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software relevant to construction.
• A relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline; professional accreditation is a significant advantage.
