Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client requires a highly experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee significant construction projects in and around Manchester . This is a hands-on role requiring a deep understanding of the construction lifecycle, from planning and design through to completion and handover. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands a strong presence on-site and a commitment to leading project teams effectively in a demanding, location-specific environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of construction projects , including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of contractors, subcontractors, and site personnel.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective actions swiftly.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (10+ years) in construction project management .
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale construction projects.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g., PMP, RICS) is highly desirable.
