Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly competent and experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in Construction projects to join their esteemed team in Oxford . You will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of significant construction projects, from initial planning and design through to completion, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership, meticulous planning, and a deep understanding of construction methodologies and site management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major construction projects, ensuring all phases are managed effectively.
• Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies specific to construction.
• Manage and coordinate all site activities, including subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site personnel.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements on site.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues, and implement timely corrective actions.
• Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, managing large-scale projects.
• Proven track record of delivering complex construction projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies , building codes, and site management best practices.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CIOB) are highly desirable.
• Experience with contract administration and risk management in construction.
