Senior Project Manager - Construction

About the Role

Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager specializing in the construction sector to join their team in Cardiff . This role requires a leader capable of managing high-value construction projects from initial concept through to final handover. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects meet stringent safety, quality, and environmental standards, while effectively managing budgets, timelines, and subcontractor relationships. This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure developments within the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of the construction project lifecycle, including planning, design, procurement, and execution.
• Develop and meticulously maintain project schedules and budgets, tracking progress and implementing corrective actions.
• Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors and external consultants.
• Ensure strict compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety legislation, and quality standards.
• Liaise effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and regulatory bodies.
• Implement robust risk management strategies to identify and mitigate potential project issues.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years ) in construction project management , with a proven track record of successful project delivery.
• In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building regulations.
• Strong understanding of contract administration and procurement processes.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication abilities.
• Relevant degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
