About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong background in Engineering to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for leading complex engineering projects, ensuring they are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. This role requires exceptional leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and external stakeholders effectively within Staffordshire . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex engineering projects from concept to completion.
- Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Manage and mentor project teams comprised of engineers, designers, technicians, and contractors.
- Ensure adherence to all engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
- Facilitate clear and concise communication between project teams, clients, and senior management regarding project progress and milestones.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement in engineering project delivery.
Requirements
- Minimum 6 years of experience in Project Management , with a substantial focus on Engineering projects.
- Proven track record of managing projects involving mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering disciplines.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and relevant industry standards.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, crucial for managing teams in Stoke-on-Trent .
- Proficiency in project management software and engineering-specific tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field is required; a Master's degree or PMP certification is a plus.
