Senior Project Manager - Fully Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Senior Project Manager to join their expanding team on a fully remote basis, ideally based in or near Edinburgh but open to candidates across the UK . This critical role involves leading and delivering complex, strategic projects from conception through to successful completion. You will be responsible for defining project scope, managing budgets, timelines, and resources, and ensuring effective communication across distributed teams. The ideal candidate is an expert in project management methodologies, possesses exceptional leadership capabilities, and thrives in a remote-first environment, driving impactful results independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of multiple high-priority projects.
• Develop detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, key deliverables, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Manage project risks and issues proactively, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration among geographically dispersed project teams and stakeholders.
• Monitor project progress, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful outcomes.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management , with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
• Proven experience managing projects in a fully remote or distributed team environment.
• Expertise in Agile , Scrum , and/or Waterfall methodologies .
• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, tailored for virtual collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certification is highly desirable.
