Senior Project Manager - Infrastructure

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior Project Manager specializing in infrastructure projects to join their team in Glasgow . This critical role involves overseeing the planning, execution, and successful delivery of complex infrastructure development initiatives, ensuring they meet stringent quality, safety, and regulatory standards. You will manage budgets, timelines, and resources, while leading and coordinating a diverse team of professionals and external partners. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of infrastructure projects and a proven ability to navigate challenges inherent in large-scale development. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end management of major infrastructure projects , from conception through to completion and handover.
• Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, risk assessment, and resource allocation for large-scale developments.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality assurance standards across all project sites.
• Manage and motivate project teams, including engineers, contractors, and technical specialists.
• Oversee procurement processes and manage relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor project performance, budget adherence, and schedule compliance, providing regular detailed reports to executive leadership.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in project management , with a substantial focus on infrastructure development.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering large and complex infrastructure projects on time and within budget.
• In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and regulatory requirements relevant to infrastructure.
• Expertise in using project management software and tools for planning, scheduling, and risk management.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills to manage diverse project stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
